Baxter Allen Lindsay Jr., 37, has died following a motorcycle crash in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, leaving family, friends and others who knew him mourning his unexpected loss.
The fatal collision happened Thursday evening, September 17, 2026, along Peters Creek Parkway near Ethel Drive. Winston-Salem police responded to the scene at about 8:01 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Lindsay was riding a 2025 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Peters Creek Parkway when the collision occurred.

According to investigators, Lindsay was traveling at a high rate of speed when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction attempted to turn left onto Ethel Drive.
The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, causing the other vehicle to overturn.
Lindsay suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. He later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Police said his next of kin had been notified.
The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Amanda Mary Dunn, suffered minor injuries but declined further medical treatment.
Peters Creek Parkway Crash Under Investigation
The Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the fatal collision.
Police said speed was a significant contributing factor in the crash as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Peters Creek Parkway was closed for several hours Thursday night while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The roadway was reopened early Friday morning.
No other injuries were reported.
